Good for speed farming and clearing hell monsters, farm areas. I would suggest removing the taunt ability and replacing it with Natural Resistances instead. Despite equipping heavily defensive gear, the merc still got 1 shot fairly easy. The Taunt from Act 5 mercenary causes him to attract all of the damage from uber bosses + minions and get 1 shot. It is pretty useful for speed farming however the Taunt ability is a deathwish for ubers. Which makes the armour technically, the BIS.The new act 5 dual wield frenzy mercenary looks strong on paper. To me, with my Merc having Treachery already, his next armour upgrade will be when I get all the gears I want for my Barb (if I even get there on SSF). Usually, he even goes to the pack I'm dealing with and make quick work on them.īut I can see that if you are already killing boss packs with ease and you just need the merc to do the same, then Treachery requiring some "setup" to get going would not be ideal especially if you just want to speed through the map. I usually just leave a mob pack entirely to him and he comes out of that pack already on Fade. So take from it what you will.įor me, it is relatively easy to acquire (even in my SSF playthrough) and fairly easy to proc.
I'm still learning the game myself so I can only offer a perspective from someone who is still ways away from completing Hell (let alone having BIS gear) and who had just upgraded his merc from a Hawkmail. Still interested in trying a merc with other aura since I'm running orb it feels a bit wasteful to have HF on the merc. Now I need to increase my clear speed, cows is horribly slow but manageable. Still feel like I need to increase the LL. Diablo is a real joke now, didn't need to do anything when fighting him.
The poison and whatever she does is really tough. No problemo to run chaos or anything else except Andy. So I just wanted to update yall! When fade hits everything changes, oh my dark lord how tanky Pratham gets. Finally got that Amn I've been looking for. Just wanted to see if good ol' Pratham could handle Andy without needing any potions. So I just traded some pgms for a lum and upgraded a few runes to a Lem and finally got that treachery for my merc.
